Author and Copyright Information Copyright 2002 by author Steve Estrada is the owner of Estrada Land Planning, a San Diego based planning, landscape architecture, and urban design firm. He has over 26 years experience in landscape architecture, planning, computer simulation preparation, design guideline preparation, park design, transit center design, community facilitation, and urban design. He has planned military cities in Saudi Arabia as well as planned new communities from San Diego to Grass Valley, California. Mr. Estrada has extensive experience facilitating public meetings on controversial projects. His projects include the Master Plan for San Diegos Balboa Park; the Master Plan and Landscape Architecture for several planned communities. She is a professional city planner with significant coastal planning experience with cities in the northern portion of San Diego County. Prior to joining the City of Carlsbad, Ms. Holder was Community Development Director for the City of Encinitas for seven years, and Assistant Planning Director for the City of Oceanside for nine years. Lettieri, FAICP, is a professional planner with 33 years of urban and regional planning experience in both the public and private sectors. He is the Vice Chairperson of the city of San Diego Planning Commission. He is the Past President of the California Chapter of the American Planning Association. His experience - including four years with the City of Chula Vista, six years with the County of San Diego and 20 years in the private sector - has provided Mr. Lettieri the opportunity to work in all aspects of land use planning from residential, commercial, and industrial projects to general plans and regional growth management. For more than 30 years, his work has focused on assisting public and private sector clients in formulating project objectives, developing strategies, and preparing implementation programs. Mr. Silverman combines an undergraduate degree in Journalism from Boston University with a Masters Degree in Community and Regional Planning from the University of British Columbia.
