Curriculum
The Bachelor of Arts in Design Studies requires a total of 120 credit hours at the undergraduate level. Year 1 is normally completed in one of the existing majors (Planning, Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design, Visual Communication Design) in the College of Design. The remaining three years are completed in either General Design Studies or in one of two concentrations: Design History or Design Management. Each one of these three areas of study has a slightly different set of requirements for the second, third, and fourth years of study (see below).
Students who have successfully completed one year in any one of the undergraduate programs in the College of Design with a GPA of 2.0 are eligible to any one the three areas of study.
