

MSD - Master of Science in Design: Healthcare and Healing Environments Concentration
The Healthcare and Healing Environments concentration examines factors impacting the design and planning of healthcare facilities and healing environments using design research tools. Students in this concentration are mentored by local healthcare design consultants as they team with nursing students, work for actual clients and correspond with forward-thinking healthcare research centers. The program requires a design or healthcare related background, and features:
- A Research-Based Curriculum
- A 36-credit hour degree program typically completed in 2 years

PhD - Doctor of Philosophy degree in Environmental Design and Planning in Healthcare and Healing Environments
The PhD concentration in Healthcare and Healing Environments integrates the principles of medical and clinical innovations, business administration, interior architecture, human health services, communication studies, architecture, and behavioral and engineering sciences. This program requires a design or healthcare background and features:
- A Research-Based Degree
- A 54-credit hour degree program post-masters, typically completed in 4 years

The Master of Healthcare Innovation offers a futuristic, multidisciplinary, educational approach to the development of healthcare leaders who base decisions upon the best evidence available. Students will come from a variety of backgrounds including nurse managers, nurses who are poised to move into management, physicians, engineers, dentists, and architects. Students are expected to come with a current or future healthcare problem or product they will work on during the directed study segment of MHI. This program is open to students with a nursing or non-nursing background and features:
- A Hybrid online curriculum
- A 33-credit hour degree program, typically completed in 1 year
