The radiant cooling and
heating system began operation in 1999, but a lightning strike on July
23, 1999 disabled the control and data collection system for over a
year. The control system computer and a number of components had to
be replaced. Also the National Instruments data collection system (that
monitors envelope conditions) had to be replaced. It wasn't until August
12, 2000, over a year later, that the control and data collection systems
were back to being completely operational. So the beginning of calibrated
data is August 12, 2000. System comfort control performance is shown in graphs below, both on an annual basis and for typical days during each season. Passive Performance
